THE LAKES RESERVE

Public BBQ

Nestled beside a tranquil lake in Taylors Lakes, this bustling reserve delivers recreation for all ages. The standout playground features two tall tube slides that challenge younger visitors but delight the adventurous, while nearby bike tracks and outdoor gym equipment cater to adults. BBQ facilities, sheltered picnic tables, and public stoves make it ideal for family gatherings, and sporting enthusiasts will find tennis and basketball courts alongside the walking track encircling the lake. The resident swans add charm to the waterside setting, though visitors during breeding season (particularly around May) should maintain distance as protective parents can turn aggressive. Well-maintained paths offer easy, flat terrain perfect for evening strolls or casual runs, with ample opportunities to observe waterfowl and natural surroundings. The unfenced playground sits right by the water, requiring supervision of small children. Located just five minutes from Watergardens Shopping Centre, this well-kept community space benefits from conscientious local stewardship.
